Funny Things
So I thought I better write down some of the funny things that have been happening at our house lately. What better place to put it than here where everyone can enjoy the humor of Ethan and Emily!
Emily's newest thing is that she is NOT a Princess! I always call her princess, but she informed me the other day that she is not a Princess, she is a Barbie. Am I in trouble or what?
I bought some Space Bags the other day to organize all the clothes that are too small for the kids. (They are the ones that you suck the air out of with your vacuum.) They came with these small ones that really weren't that useful so I gave one to Ethan. He carries it around and puts all kinds of things in it. Last night he wouldn't go to bed (imagine that right?), he was too busy filling his space bag. I went upstairs and very sternly told him it was time to go to bed. He said just a minute and closed up his space bag. He then asked me where he should put it. I said just put it away and go to bed (again very seriously). He then stuck it between the door and his wall and said "I will put here because the commercial says that space bags fit into small places!" Try being serious after that.
Yesterday Ethan got sent to his room because he was crying uncontrollably about who knows what. Like usual Emily followed him up but this time she just stood at the door screaming "Ethan (or Efan) stop crying!" She stood there and repeated it about 50 times before giving up, realizing it wasn't helping.
Today Emily was crying and I was trying to figure out why. She kept sticking her finger out and saying this one, this one. I thought maybe she hurt it so I tried to kiss it. She just got more frustrated and started crying harder. She finally moved a chair over to the counter (throwing a fit the whole time) and found the nail polish. The finger that she was sticking out no longer had nail polish on it. She was upset that it wasn't pink like all the others. All that fuss over nail polish? Once again, am I in trouble or what?
The final fun story is Emily's new fun game in the car. She will scream "mommy, mommy" when I say what she will say "I am talking to daddy". Then she precedes "daddy, daddy" he asks what and she says "I am talking to Ethan. Of course then she precedes' "Ethan, Ethan" he asks what and she says "I am talking to mommy". Around and around we go with this game until we get tired of it and then she throws a fit because we stopped playing. Oh to be 2 and so darn cute!
I will try to be better about sharing. They are constantly saying and doing silly things. I know there are many that are forgotten, if only I had written them down.
