Ethan's 1st Soccer Game!

Here are some cute pictures from Ethan's first soccer game. It was great! It was a little rainy, but we all braved the rain to go watch Ethan play (all meaning: 2 uncles, 2 aunts, 4 cousins and of course Eric, Emily and myself). Several of the kids on the other team had played last year so they kind of had the concept figured out already. Our team on the other hand has mostly first timers (I think 1 of our kids played last year)! There was lots of kicking in the wrong direction, watching the ball roll right past the gaolie and into the goal and lots of running with no care of who had the ball or where it even was! We laughed lots and cheered really loud. Ethan got to be the goalie for a while and saved several balls (he did let one in)! He stole the ball once and actually took off in the right direction. He didn't score but he did a great job at getting the ball down the field. When asked what was fun about the game Ethan's reply was "Making funny marks in the mud with my soccer shoes!"
