Holman Happenings

This blog was created for the Holman/Stevens clan to keep track of eachother. By posting pictures and all the other comings and goings of our individual families we can keep in touch even though we are all far away.

Ethan's Swim Lessons

The last two weeks Ethan took swim lessons. I didn't have huge expectations seeing that he is only 3, but I was hoping that he would be a little less scared of the water also learn to put his face in the water after the 2 weeks was up. Although he had lots of fun, he unfortunately still won't put his face in the water and is still fairly scared. The teacher was great, she worked really hard with him and did all she knew how to convince him it wasn't scary. We even bought new goggles (which you will see in the pictures) in hopes he would then want to experiment putting his face in. He loved to wear them, but they really never got any use. Anyways, here are some cute pictures. He may not have learned much, but I think you will see from the pics that I was right when I said he had lots of fun!

Ethan showing off his new Power Rangers goggles!

Playing Red Light Green Light to practice their kicking!

I just love the goggles in this pictures! I don't think he can even see!

Swimming on his back. You can tell from the expression that he really didn't like this part.

At the end of each lessons she sang a little song about frogs jumping in the pool. Here is Ethan taking his turn jumping in . It was the only time she could get him to go under water (mostly because he didn't have a choice).

So here is the first post on our family blog. I will try and post at least once a week. Sometimes more depending on what's happening. Hopefully everyone will feel that they aren't missing as much since this is a good way to share! On Saturday we went to the circus! It was a lot of fun. I am a little sad that my pictures didn't turn out the greatest but I posted a few anyways.

The first picture is at the pre-show where you get to meet all the animals. You can't really see them, but we are standing in front of the elephants.

Here is Eric with Emily on his shoulders. They are standing in front of the camels and also the big Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey circus sign. (Once again you can't see it very well)

Here is Ethan with the elephants in the background.

Ethan said that his favorite part of the circus was when the guys jumped and did flips. I think Emily just enjoyed the snow cone and treats! Have a great week. I will post swim lesson pictures in a few days!
